A new QB next year should Fields (predictably) not become a franchise guy, new guy will have a strong OL to work with.

Hard to argue thats not putting him in position to start strong.

Lets stock up on Weapons quickly

I won't be totally shocked if Membou starts behind Okorafor, and then he takes over midseason. Kind of like Olu did.

Hey, if he's starting Week 1, that probably means he's a very good player.

If you have a top offensive line, the rest of the offense is a lot easier to build. We are big, young, and athletic up front. Super excited about our OL going forward.

Every good Jets team in my lifetime had a good or great offensive line. Jets haven't had one of those in 15 years. Now, hopefully they do.

Sure, there are no pass catchers. But the Jets also made an AFC Championship Game with Chansi Stuckey as WR2 in Week 1 before. They can fill that group in later.

The Jets have the potential to have a good OL for a while but Simpson is the only one that isn't a question mark. Fashanu played well in his few games at LT, but it's a small sampling. Tippmann was sketchy, as was AVT. Membou is a rookie.

They just need to stay healthy and play together for a while.

Has Justin Fields ever had even a decent offensive line?

The best way for this offense to be competent this year is to be able to have one of the best running games in the sport. That wasn't going to happen unless they took an OT.

Having more time to throw also is better for a QB who isn't the fastest processor.
