I haven't been as adamant that the Devils need to fire people, but you can't let this go on forever without some changes being made (and I don't just mean bringing back Kovacevic and Dadonov and scapegoating Dougie).

If they lose again tonight, Keefe cannot coach the next game. And if they miss the playoffs, Fitz should absolutely be gone.

I think Keefe needs to win tonight and the next game to keep his job, and even then, it's very tenuous.

Can make a strong argument it should have happened days or weeks ago, and I know a lot of Devils fans were already out on Fitz entering this season.

So they benched Dougie (who hasn't even been the biggest problem) to put Kovacevic in, thinking Kovacevic might not be able to play back-to-back. Makes some sense. Force Dougie's hand a bit to try to get him to waive his no-trade clause.

But then you put Dougie back in and bench Nemec one day later? What are they doing?

Thought the Devils needed to win each of the last 2 games for Fitz and Keefe to keep their jobs. Luckily, they did.

Still a long way to go, but winning in Edmonton on the 2nd half of a back-to-back is a really nice win. Can't afford many more losses.
