First step to fixing the culture is to turn off all the outside bullshit. No more Macafee, no more social media rants after games or when you dont get what you want.

Rodgers never wanted anyone to talk, but always wanted to be able to go on the air every week. Never made any sense and is clearly very hypocritical.

This is nice evidence that the Jets essentially gave him a choice, you can be here but you have to do X, Y and Z. Rodgers declined to do all those things,nobody knows if stopping Macafee is the reason, but I doubt that was his only sticking point preventing a return. Whether Macafee was or wasnt the only sticking point, we gave him a chance to be all in. He said no, so Glenn and Mougey said congratulations on your career but have a wonderful life.

He's always been like this. He wants to control the narrative and he wants the team's narrative to just be his. He picked Macafee because he knew Macafee would just let him say whatever he wanted instead of pushing back on his bullshit.

I'm sure McAffe was part of it, but I'd bet it had more to do with not wanting to be part of any minicamps/OTAs. Rodgers wants to train his way and at his own leisure.

I don't care if guys vent on social media or ignore the standard media. More often than not, everyone gets pissed off no matter what they say.

But practice? I'm a hardliner on that. It's the job. You get paid millions to play a game and part of that is the training, and like any other job, you do it the way your boss tells you, even when you don't like it or disagree.
