Not suggesting the above two specifically, but what positions for us would it make the most sense  to want to add a cut vet to?

Like with all the receivers we have would it make sense to bring in a young guy (ie Little )

I feel like after our drafts this and last year, plus some recent acquisitions that there's not a ton of room at many positions to bring in new bodies.

Ilb, olb, really seem like the best positions to add more competition too.

We just have a freak ton of "depth" (albeit unproven) at corner, wr, safety, dl, RB, QB, and even the OL to an extent.

It's kinda nuts how fast we went from a completely barebones roster to one where you wish we had more roster slots

Little has been given every opportunity to succeed in Cleveland and hasn't.  Pass.

I don't think receiver is really a big need atm anyway (to add competition to, not overall talent)

I guess what I was trying to say is which positions should we be checking the Waiver wire for the most to add competition to?

Seems like right now most positions on this team have a freak ton of competition

I'm not saying I'd want us to sign him, but I'm also not sure that's entirely fair. He has had chopped liver throwing to him, I'd like to see whether he's capable of performing in a system that's settled with a QB who knows what he's doing.

Offensive Line (OT and C) and Linebacker.

Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron both excelled in the same system.  That ended the convo on Little for me.  He could be a role player elsewhere, but we have no use for him.

Offensive Line (OT and C) and Linebacker.

In my eyes, cut vets at the following position would need to be considered,

OT
OG
C
ILB
OLB
CB
S
TE

Frankly I'm not sold on a Cumby/Amaro tandem being any kind of tangible upgrade from a year ago. Our OL needs some proven guys in camp who can compete. We need another body at OLB across from Coples, and while I can live with the Barnes/Pace platoon, having another guy would be nice. Neither Landry or Patterson is irreplaceable, if the right guy gets cut I can see them being brought in and the latter kicked to the curb.

Ultimately I think adding competition at those spots would be nice to have, but I think it's unlikely we bring in many players post draft it will really be a case by case basis, and no sweeping grabs like we would have in 09 after a 3 man class.
Need a new one for a new board...

Would we actually carry two centers though?

And wouldn't we use dozier or Winters at tackle if one of ours goes down?

I feel like we would want maybe just an interior guard, capable of also playing center.

And I think we're kinda full on corners

Remember what happened when Colin Baxter played when Mangold went down?
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

I wonder if they are still high on Dalton Freeman as Mangold's backup.

Well he's still around so they must like him for something.

Absolutely but when have we carried two centers?

I forget that other guy name, who played guard but was our backup center too?

I feel like that's more common than a #2 center
