Draft scenarios
« on: April 24, 2014, 02:49:01 PM »
Feel free to create your own:

The following are still on the board at 18.  Assume anyone else is already gone or not worth it:

ODB
Cooks
Lee
Dennard
Z. Martin
Clinton-Dix

Who do you take?

Odell Beckham Jr.

Unrelated but kinda related, I'm beginning to think its about as likely ODB is around 18 as it is likely Ebron is around at 18.  Everyone pegs Ebron to the Giants, Ravens, Steelers but I can't see the Giants passing on Donald if he's available, and really think Balt and Pitt could go receiver/corner back to back with Pitta in Baltimore and the loss of Sanders in Pitt.

ODB as well.

Another scenario-

We pick ODB in the first and address WR.

ASJ
Roby
Niklas
Lawrence
Verrett

are available in the 2nd, who do you draft?

I think we'd have to take one of those corners if they were available.

Both CBs are tough SOBs too.

Will not happen.

I am leaning this direction as well.

That said, I am still pretty high on Robinson at 18, and would like to trade back to take him.

There's a strong chance he'll be there when we're up in the second round.

Quite possible, and I really like the style of Beckham and Cooks.  I just see Robinson in a different light than most.

The kid is a great athlete, but there's just at least five wideouts that will come off the board before him.

Watkins
Evans
Beckham Jr.
Cooks
Lee

Then there's players like Latimer, Adams, Matthews, and Richardson.

I'd certainly take Robinson over Benjamin and Moncrief.

Maybe, probably.

It's all moot though, the Jets are going to go DB, IMO.

Sadly, I have a gut feeling they go DB as well. Usually my gut feeling when it comes to the draft is incorrect though...

freak this delay. We could be watching the draft tonight.
