why

Geno is going to be our starter.

And if he sucks dick again, we have a 34 year old player on a one year deal waiting to take over.

This team could use another QB.  Preferably in the third round.

this team has way too many other pressing needs to pick up a QB in the 3rd round

Agreed, 1st or 2nd would be better.

but he's probably the highest paid backup in the NFL this year. McCown got similar money, and that was to start.

And we have no stability at the position, so it makes sense for us to pay the backup.

QB is the most important position in the sport

except we drafted one in the 2nd round last year and as of right now he is the starter and the organization believes he has potential to be the long term starter. And we need long term answers at CB, safety,WR, OLB, and guard.

unless someone fell ridiculously far and it's a BPA situation, I don't see it happening.

So did the Carolina Panthers in 2010.

How do you know?  A move like the Vick signing isn't made if they fully believe in Smith.

Yes we do.  But it's becoming more likely we'll make a trade for DeSean Jackson, which eliminates the need at WR.

I'd prefer QB over CB early in the draft.

I don't think we'll take a QB high, but I am certainly not against it.

Talk about a vote of NO confidence in Geno.

Whatever. My bigger question is why the freak would we trade for Desean Jackson when this team has made it very clear we aren't a player away in a year where the draft is loaded with talent at the position.

I'm not giving up more then a 4th for D-Jax and thats only because its looking like we'll have three of them. Eagles can go freak themselves. Let someone else pay him the 30 million hes owed over the next 3 years.

Jackson is miles ahead of any receiver that was available in free agency.

Jackson - Decker - Kerley is a quality receiving corps

Meh.  I don't really give much of a excrement either way.  Just don't go and overpay Jackson to come in and stop giving a freak.

He's going to take his job

I'd rather see him start, then he might actually be able to make a contribution. If he's just supposed to be a backup then I'd rather have Jason Campbell.

The Jets have plans to insert Geno into the Snoopy Bowl late in garbage time.
