As long as we don't have to give up a home game I won't be completely annoyed.

To be honest I'm surprised the league hasn't done it to find a way to give us Both home game at the same time yet. Plus you would think they would want to expand the NY market in London. But hopefully they keep pretending we don't exist as far as London is concerned

I guess we're right in the sweet spot - not consistently good enough to be paraded around by the league but not awful enough that few people wouldn't bitch about losing a home game since attendance sucks anyway.

Fair way to explain it I believe.

I imagine Woody would push back very hard against us playing a home game in London, he gets enough grief already about the PSLs that giving up a home game would be a step too far. I imagine the league is sympathetic to that as well, given MetLife is apparently (according to something I read the other day) the only stadium in the NFL built entirely without public money.

I think a trip to London to watch the Jets play would be pretty cool. Expensive as excrement, but pretty cool.

You can actually find some very reasonable rates from the East coast to Europe.  Just checked for September of next year wrapped around a weekend and you can get a non-stop round trip from Laguardia to Heathrow for just over 1K.  If you stay longer the price goes down.  If you were making a 1-2 vacation out of it the flight would be worth it.

Falcons v Detroit in Week 8 will kick off at 1:30 GMT. That's 8:30am EST; what a freaking ridiculous idea this whole thing is.

I know, right? Who wants to watch the Falcons play the Lions?!
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

I don't know, there's a chance that Calvin Johnson has 300 yards receiving.

What's wrong with that?

Football without beer is not as much fun. Drinking beer at 8:30am suggests you have a problem.

I suspect it's also a dry run to test the reaction to having half a dozen games a season kicking off at 8:30am, and you know my feelings about a London franchise. Therefore, freak football kicking off at 8:30am.

I'll be drinking around that time on Sunday.

Well the time is meant to cater to London, not us.

If you absolutely need beer to enjoy a football game that is also a problem.
