Sanchez could renegotiate to facilitate a trade.

What a standup guy hed be to do so.

Plus we dont have to cut Sanchez until the 25th.

So it gives both Sanchez a better chance to land a starting job (rather than us being dicks and cutting him after the FA frenzy) and gives the team a chance to get him if they're legitimately interested (rather than playing wait and see what we do until the 25th)

At least we have SOME leverage to facilitate a trade with him.

I get that.  However, I can't believe Sanchez wouldn't negotiate with a trade partner to get it lowered.  A team like Jacksonville or Oakland giving up a 6th rounder makes sense even at his current contract.  JMO.
