But we upgraded and filled holes at LG and RT for less than robert hunt will get to be above avg in CAR

They'll be paying an OG 26 to 28 mil a yr for 4 yrs after paying hik 6 this yr .

It may have been a mess JD made with renegotiation and paying people like Lawson instead of Hendrickson but hey he's cleaning g it up

This isn't a sexy offseason but it's practical and cap wise.

While these names don't inspire excitement we need to be reminded exactly how bad the product was last yr.

We definitely upgraded

Hunt still would've been nice.  But the oline is being addressed, and we usurped starters from a very good oline last year in Baltimore.  I'm starting to feel a little better.

The Jets got Morgan Moses in exchange for moving back in the fourth round and an additional sixth round pick.

A great trade for a solid tackle that they never should’ve let leave in the first place.

Makes sense to attack the trade market. This was always the logical next step if we aren't going to throw big money at free agents. You can either throw big money at FAs or you can throw late draft picks at guys under contract at more reasonable deals.

They let Moses walk for Fant and Mekhi and they signed Duane Brown to replace Becton. Clearly that didn't work out, but I'm not shocked Moses didn't want to come when he wouldn't have been guaranteed a starting job. I don't know how that negotiation went.

To derek Smalls point I think the issue was wanting a starting spot.

I hope we sign Tyron smith/bahktiari and one more starting caliber guard/center.

Hey, Douglas recognized a mistake and got him back.  Better to admit it than not make the right move.

I'm a little concerned that the LT spot is still open.  I certainly hope we aren't going to sign a backup LT and hope that Fashanu falls to us.  Too much of a gamble.  I don't know if the Jets think Fuaga can play LT.  Do we potentially draft a tackle in the first that has to compete for the job with a veteran and may be 2nd string year 1?  I don't think Bakhtiari or Tyron Smith are coming here knowing we may draft a LT at 10.  Lots of what ifs.  I didn't think we'd address RT with a veteran.

Samuel and Boyd or a cap casualty vet like Allen or Williams or a random trade might occur
