Robert Saleh said the #Jets will "obviously" add another quarterback to the room behind Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor.

Robert Saleh says the Jets are not done with the safety position, but he is excited for Tony Adams and Chuck Clark returning

bring me Justin Simmons (it's not happening...but still)

Saleh doesn't anticipate any further staff changes. Todd  Downing will be the QBs coach in addition to passing-game coordinator. #Jets

I doubt we are missing much as long as Rodgers plays.  If we sign a young developmental QB they will suffer.

#Jets HC Robert Saleh on some roster questions:

On WR Corey Davis returning as a FA: "Our door is always going to be open to him." Added they are in regular contact with him and they want him back.

On the Safety and Quarterback positions: "We're not done adding there." "The plan is to add another QB."

On DE Jadeveon Clowney's meeting with the team: "You know me with pass rushers. The more the merrier." Said they had a good meeting and it is more a question for Joe Douglas.

On OL Alijah Vera-Tucker: He is expected to be ready for week 1. The plan is to keep him at RG.

i don't know why they're so enamoured with Corey Davis...the guy is the definition of mid.

He would be WR3 or WR4 in this offense

Who had been the QB throwing to him here?  I do think he's WR3 if he signed tomorrow.

Peyton Manning could be his QB and Davis would still have Justin McCareins hands.

The problem with Davis is that we already have Lazard under contract. If we can get off Lazard, then Davis makes a ton of sense.

WR1: Wilson
WR2: Mike Williams
WR3: Corey Davis
WR4: 3rd-round pick

WR1: Wilson
WR2: 1st-round pick
WR3: Mike Williams
WR4: Corey Davis/Lazard

Either of those rooms look good to me.

With rumors we tried (and failed) to trade Lazard, I think we are treating him like he doesn’t exist. I’d suspect your second WR room is Douglas current plan with Lazard as the 5 about to lose his job in camp to Gibson and brownlee.
Need a new one for a new board...

The #Browns are signing former #Jets core special teamer Justin Hardee, sources say. Hardee has excelled on kick and punt coverage, among his ST skills.

Has he though? I'm not sure he's really had any impact at all, given his billing as a ST ace. Feels like we can plug and play third string running backs and corners to give us pretty much the same production we've had from Hardee.

And the requirements for special teamers will change with the new kickoff rules. They will be more similar to a usual running play than what we have known so far.
