The Ravens were never letting him leave. We would have also gotten him killed behind our offensive line but that's irrelevant...
"Hello good sir GM, may we pretty please have your throwaway centers and gords please??!? I'll suck yo'dick!"
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefterThat is not all. Ravens never were approached. Carolina traded multiple 1s for Bryce Young, yet no team ever tried to get a deal done with Lamar Jackson. There never was a team that challenged it once Jackson himself publicly stated he wanted out of Baltimore. Lost opportunity.Woody fucked up.
Pretty sure the league-wide perception was that the Ravens were never letting him go and that Jackson's statement was a negotiation tactic.
And/or no one wanted to pay $250-$300 million for a running predominant QB with his injury history in addition to multiple #1s and then some
We should have.
You say that until his Achilles exploded week one instead of Rodgers, then it would have been the worst investment of all time and a franchise destroying move.
Nah..Lamar is still in his 20s.
And his game is based on being able to run and move.
