I don't think we were in cap hell, we easily got out of the cap issues and would have had Tannenbaum stayed too.

I agree that it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be, but I don't think it's unfair to say last season's limited cap space held us back from assembling a better roster.

I think we could have been more aggressive or not lost as many guys but Idzik had a plan to not only maximize cap space but to also get as many draft picks(include comp picks) as possible.  It worked through year one though I whined about his plan at times.  Now the hard part is signing and picking the right players.  Let's hope he and the staff are up to it.

maybe so, but we are also going to be looking at almost $50 million in space. I look at it that way, and it makes me smile pretty wide.

This is true, but also other teams that don't have cap issues will be able to improve their team instead of just treading water like the Cowboys.

Yeah, this just means more players in the FA market. Also there doesn't seem to be many FAs out there, so that's just a recipe for teams overpaying.
