Ideally Jasson is eventually our CF
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

What percent chance do you actually give this of happening? 5%? 10%?

You’re setting yourself up to be disappointed

I've been disappointed for 13+ years.

This team has a competetive advantage no other team in sports has. It's at the very top (#2 behind the Cowboys?) of the value of the organization, and in a sport with no real cap.

The lux tax should be viewed as getting an extra roster spot most other teams don't get. There is, quite literally, nothing stopping the Yankees from paying Bellinger and also giving Soto his extension. On top of Judge. On top of Cole. On top of even Stanton, and Gleyber, and Yamamotot, and whoever else they feel like acquiring.

Nothing, that is, other than Hal seeing for the last decade and a half that he doesn't need to win to keep making obscene profits.

Sure. If his elbow returns to normal. After Hicks' TJ he threw like a muppet for two years.

And we've seen like 2 weeks of Jasson. I'd have zero issue packaging him for someone like Soto or a pitcher. Again, putting all my eggs in the Soto and Bellinger basket.

If I really wanted to go crazy I'd say go after Ohtani with everything you've got too. But between his TJ and seeming lack of desire to be here, I don't waste the energy.

I actually agree that I would include Jasson for Soto (I would include anyone). They shouldn’t have to give up anything close to that because it’s 1 year of control and it sounds like he’s definitely going to Free Agency.

So we’re in on Yamamoto and Nola

So we should theoretically be interested in any of these FAs who I think are in the same tier when it comes to this offseasons market

Yamamoto
Blake Snell
Aaron Nola
Jordan Montgomery
Sonny Gray

Montgomery sounds like he would like to stay in Texas. I doubt Sonny is doing round 2 with us. Blake Snell would give us a lefty heavy rotation (Rodon and Nestor), which isn’t a huge deal but something to consider. Plays well at YS with the deep LCF, but not ideal over the course of a season when the league is something like 65% RHBs

I get this error a lot. Just copy/paste the url into a browser and delete mediaViewer and everything after it.
