What percent chance do you actually give this of happening? 5%? 10%?
You’re setting yourself up to be disappointed
I've been disappointed for 13+ years.
This team has a competetive advantage no other team in sports has. It's at the very top (#2 behind the Cowboys?) of the value of the organization, and in a sport with no real cap.
The lux tax should be viewed as getting an extra roster spot most other teams don't get. There is, quite literally, nothing stopping the Yankees from paying Bellinger and
also giving Soto his extension. On top of Judge. On top of Cole. On top of even Stanton, and Gleyber, and Yamamotot, and whoever else they feel like acquiring.
Nothing, that is, other than Hal seeing for the last decade and a half that he doesn't need to win to keep making obscene profits.
