Just read the Yankees are looking to trade for Manuel Margot.

Cashman's just freaking with us now, right?

He’s clearly a 4th OF option. Prob gonna look at him and Kiermaier.

Unless you’d prefer to bring Hicks back

Why not give Pereira a shot to be OF4? Or let Cabrera continue?

Trading for right-handed below-average damaged hitters has worked out so well for this team, let's keep repeating the process?

This organization is elite at thinking its fans are stupid (or not really caring either way). This team needs to get younger and doesn't need to spend to win? But let's trade prospects for yet another mediocre player we don't need. To a division rival, no less. That's never come back to bite us before!

Also, I finally looked up payrolls after Hal's whole don't need to spend to make playoffs bullshit. Top payrolls in 2023:

1. Mets
2. Yankees
3. Padres
4. Rangers
5. Phillies
6. Dodgers
7. Astros
8. Angels
9. Blue Jays
10. Braves

Weren't the two Texas teams the ones Hal pointed to when making his don't need to spend argument? Clown.

Yup, a career .255 AVG, .694 OPS right-handed hitter coming off a particularly down year where he spent significant time injured is a perfect fit on this team.

I knew the whole "Tampa meetings" was smoke up everyone's asses. This team won't change the way they do things until the fans stop showing up and watching them on their team-owned network.
That makes him the Yankees' 2nd-best outfielder.

I wish I could find the humor in that.

Any prospects moved should be spent on Soto. Money should be spent on Yamamoto and Bellinger. Those 3 moves completely change this franchise.

Then add Snell and go full-on Death Star.

Sorry...no.

I'm pretty sure it won't happen, but as a Yankees fan it would be amazing.

Cole
Snell
Yamamoto
Rodon
Cortes

Hell, wrap Rodon and Cortes in bubble wrap until late-August early-September and just let King and Schmidt (assuming one or both are still here after a Soto trade) eat up innings in the first half.

But this team has no balls and Hal loves his money printing machine too much.

Keirmaier and Margot are proven commodities and would be signed mainly for their defense.

Who is our opening day CF?

I would take a dart throw guess that you at one point this season posted statistics of recent Yankees LF production. That plan above sounds like last years plan and inviting the opportunity to continue that trend.

Just get Soto.

I’m pretty freaking positive that won’t happen

I've already advocated for Soto and Bellinger. Soto, Bellinger, Judge is the opening day OF in that situation. Who cares who the fourth outfielder is in that scenario?

Because with our luck, the fourth OF will start 60 games.

Looking at their (albeit somewhat short) histories, both Bellinger and Soto have played in a lot of games almost every year (Bellinger had a short '21). Judge, apart from ridiculous situations stays healthy.

If they want to bring a Keirmeier or someone as a 4OF and load up on the starters, okay. But they're not bringing in him or Margot as a 4, they're bringing them in as a starter so they can save money.

What percent chance do you actually give this of happening? 5%? 10%?

You’re setting yourself up to be disappointed

Not a fan of trading for Soto and then giving Bellinger his extension money.

Bellinger is a plan B if we miss on Soto, imo

Plan A is Soto and a defensive OF. Soto isn’t great defensively and this will likely be the biggest LF he’s had to play at
