My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

Also saw yesterday that they're looking to bring back Wandy. Very happy about that.

Not bringing back Wandy would be negligent.

There was loads of talk of trading him at the deadline because he wasn't going to be re-signed anyway. I absolutely agree with you, but who knows what the internal thinking has been.

Getting something in return for him would be less bad than letting him walk for nothing.

I was pretty checked out last season so I guess I missed those rumors.

Even as late as the end of the season I kept seeing he was one of the "not returning" guys.

To me, he's a no-brainer to bring back. I'd also offer Severino a one-year prove it deal and see if he can rebound.

Whewwww to the last bullet point

Interestingly not linked to Bellinger yet. He’s the very clear plan B to missing on Soto Imo

So we’re in on Yamamoto and Nola

So we should theoretically be interested in any of these FAs who I think are in the same tier when it comes to this offseasons market

Yamamoto
Blake Snell
Aaron Nola
Jordan Montgomery
Sonny Gray

Montgomery sounds like he would like to stay in Texas. I doubt Sonny is doing round 2 with us. Blake Snell would give us a lefty heavy rotation (Rodon and Nestor), which isn’t a huge deal but something to consider. Plays well at YS with the deep LCF, but not ideal over the course of a season when the league is something like 65% RHBs

Run it back with Gumby and Gray

Is Lance Lynn available?

Yamamoto and Soto are my 1 and 1A wants. Bellinger is #2 and would be the '09 Teixeira in this offseason.

I say absolutely not on Gray. He couldn't pitch here.

Snell was a guy I wanted for years, so there will be no complaints from me if we get him.

Monty would be nice to return, but the above guys are much higher on my list.

I'm leery of Nola. A 30yo pitcher coming off a down year who is going to get a big contract isn't how this team should be doing business.

James Rowson is the new hitting coach.

Wonder if/how much Judge was consulted.

It’s been said that he had heavy input into that decision

Quote
Rowson, 47, was the hitting coach of Class A Tampa in 2006 and ’07 and was the Yankees minor league hitting coordinator from 2008-11 and 2014-16, the last three years as Judge worked his way up the farm system.
