His running style is what fucked him up (that and the million carries he got in his 2k season. Although he came back to have a few good years for the Browns.

That and the one offseason he spent in jail for "conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute".

Every time I see this thread title, I read "product comparisons"

Not disputing that he's a first round talent but he's not 'trade into the top 10' good. I think he'll get taken somewhere in the late 20s or beginning of second round.

Only reason I'm making a fuss about Ebron is because people have hyped the excrement out of him.

How many guards will go before him?

When's the last time a TE was taken top 20? 10 years ago?

Edit: 2006 if I'm not mistaken

Eric Ebron is the best tight end prospect since Vernon Davis.  No one is saying he's going to go in the top ten like Davis.

He is easily the best player at his position and he should go between 9 and 19.

I'm curious what specifically separates Ebron from Eifert in terms of prospect status? Eifert fell more than I thought he would last year, and they have similar measurables, at least.

But Eifert is better at the point of the catch.

They can both go up and get the football at its highest point.

Ebron is the more dangerous player with the ball in his hands and that's what separates him.  He has receiver-like ability in the open field.

I agree. Just think Eifert had a special ability to go up and attack the football. But all around, I think Ebron is a better player due to his athleticism and versatility.

Is Ebron our best case (realistic) scenario pick?

Because that's how I'm feeling at this point
