Bill Polian compared Greg Robinson to Larry Allen.  Daniel Jeremiah and Brian Billick were talking about how he reminded them of Will Shields and Willie Roaf.

I can get behind all of these, especially the Roaf comparison.

Any thought on the fact that two of those guys are guards?

My thoughts are that he'd be a world ending beast there, no doubt.

I think they were just trying to compare him to all-time great run blockers.  He's bigger than Shields and Allen - the reason they were inside is because of the lack of height.

A more modern comparison that I've seen is Joe Staley.

Lamarcus Joyner - Tyrann Mathieu
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Paul Richardson/Mike Wallace - Go route specialists
Lorenzo Taliaferro/Mike Tolbert - Jumbo backs with good hands
Ed Reynolds/Ryan Clark - Good centerfielders, ordinary athletes
Jeoffrey Pagan/Tyson Jackson - Not much of a passrusher, but effective runstoppers in a 3 front
Seantrel Henderson/King Dunlap - Promising hulking Tackles who had difficulties with motivation in college. Dunlap worked his way back to be the top runblocking Tackle in 2013.

I like the ODB/Jennings comparison, I can see that. The Joyner/Mathieu clicks easily as well.

Trying to think of a comparison for Demarcus Lawrence

also the Cooks/Moss comparison makes great sense

Mike Evans / Vincent Jackson

I was thinking Tre Mason reminds me of somebody special, and I can't figure out who.

I also read a Carlos Hyde/Ryan Matthews comparison, but I'm not sure I like that one at all

Demarcus Lawrence - Andre Branch

Carlos Hyde has that savage running style with great feet, like Jamal Lewis.  I feel like I've made a Tre Mason comparison somewhere, but I'm thinking Tiki Barber.  Strong, compact build, and more short area quick than fast.

I think I like the Lewis comp for Hyde.

The league didn't get enough of Jamal Lewis. One of my favorite players of the time.

His running style is what fucked him up (that and the million carries he got in his 2k season. Although he came back to have a few good years for the Browns.
