Yeah, he's a solid locker room guy and you never want to lose a positive presence on the team but we'll be fine.

Sounds like he might have some personal / family excrement going on.

Yeah that sounds foreboding. Hope he's OK.

That was what I assumed with the amount of personal time he’d been given/taking when he steps away from the team. I had worried that one of his kids was sick, hopefully my speculative brain is very wrong about that, and he just decided to walk away from the game.

Financially it saves us a large chunk of money, which means we absolutely have the cap space to make a “big” addition at the deadline if one is available to us. For me, all eyes should be on Mike Evans at the deadline. He feels like the perfect opportunity, of big time player who adds an element to our wr corps, with an expiring contract, on a team we suspect will be bad and be out of it and heading into full rebuild mode as they approach the deadline.

It sucks to lose a weapon, but we will be alright, and are set for more dual TE work going forwards.
Need a new one for a new board...

we still have cook and breece to come back as well. it was a luxury having davis too, but as far as weapons go overall, we're fine

i'm hoping unforeseen quality opens up in the OL market and we put this space to use

Veteran WR Corey Davis, who stepped away from football in August, has applied for reinstatement to the NFL.

The Jets are expected to release Davis from the Reserve/Retired list today, although a return to New York on a new contract is in play.

Too bad we have "special needs Corey Davis" Lazard.

He'll come back to us. There have been rumblings for a few months now. My guess is that Douglas convinced him.

So we can watch him NOT get separation from coverage again?

I'd take him over Lazard but I'm guessing we'd still  be heavily frustrated by the same poor separation and level of drops, if not more since he has been out of the league for a year.
