I’m curious, do we cut Davis, or trade him? I’d imagine he has some value around the league at his price as an expiring deal.

I doubt anyone is trading for that money, he's not worth it. There are a bunch of FA receivers out there still.

His theoretical peak is 60/788/6 (what he put up with Rodgers last year as basically WR1). That's better than CD never putting up 500 yards for us, although we had notably worse QB play here as well, I'd bet it breaks about even, so definitely worth saving $1 million to bring in Rodgers bait

You’re only looking at receiving stats…

Lazard impacts the game as a blocker far more than Davis.  He’s also a tougher matchup in the redzone.  We upgraded here.

You can do some really tricky stuff in the play-action game with Lazard.

He’s such a pain in the derriere as a blocker that the stalk-and-whatever route he wants to run comes open a lot.

I agree. Those are skillsets we need and a great compliment to Wilson.

There was a time people thought Lazard may move to tight end because he isnt fast but he is big and a great blocker. He was miscast as WR1 last year with the Packers.

But if you put him next to a guy like Wilson, I think his skillset stands out a lot more.
