Davis puts the ball on the ground (fumbles and drops) and he can't stay healthy.  He's also never, ever been in a factor in the red zone.

Lazard is 6'5.  He scores touchdowns and blocks his derriere off.  It's a clear upgrade.

Lazard is a good signing with or without Rodgers. The only thing that would change that is if we had the opportunity to trade for Evans.

There isn't a big difference between Davis and Lazard for me, but that's fine. Both can be the big possession WR complement to Wilson and Moore or whoever.

Lazard is better in the red zone and has been healthier so I slightly prefer him but there's not a big difference.

TBF Davis is a decent blocker. But given we can move off him for virtually nothing and get a cheaper version who our QB likes, it's really not worth getting verklempt about. I don't believe any of these deals are actually getting inked until Rodgers is done, right now we're lining it up for him and then they'll all click into place at once when the window to sign players actually opens at 4pm tomorrow.

Right now the only players on the list we can actually sign are ODB and Rodgers.

Davis is fine outside, but Lazard is one of the best.  It's an extremely under-appreciated skillset.  If we want to run outside zone with Breece Hall, we need physical wideouts.

Wilson becomes a nightmare in matchup in the slot similar to how Minnesota uses Justin Jefferson if we get Lazard and OBJ.

Davis last 2 years: 66 rec, 1028 yards, 6 TDs, 2 fumbles
Lazard last 2 years: 100 rec, 1301 yards, 13 TDs, 0 fumbles

Lazard has the blocking advantage, rapport with Rodgers, knows the playbook already, and is a better complement to our current receiving core

Lazard expected to sign with us for $10M APY per Rap. We save more than that by cutting Davis.
