The #Jets are hiring former #Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator, per sources.

Hackett previously called plays in Buffalo and Jacksonville, where he worked with Robert Saleh, and was widely revered during his tenure as Green Bay’s OC. A big hire.

He was pretty good in GB. But I agree, no Rodgers no party.

Hackett had a brief + disastrous run as Broncos HC, but he was playcaller in JAX and BUF before that. He wasn't the playcaller in GB, but developed a relationship with Aaron Rodgers. He runs a West Coast offense, so there will be some continuity from a scheme standpoint. #Jets

I'll give him some credit for Jacksonville. He schemed the run game and made bortles look good

I'm not saying this will work, but I strongly believe the skills needed to be a successful headcoach are very different from a successful coordinator.  He's had success in multiple places and with a qb similar to zach (I'm not counting on him starting).  I much prefer this route to hiring someone green.  I also like the fact that this will poss off so many people.

Hopefully we surround him with a good staff.

I really hoped we would go for one of the Philadelphia assistants.

If this is a play to get Rodgers than I would like to reiterate that I didn’t like this movie the first time I saw it and I don’t see any reason that I would like it more now.
