FTR, i could move up into a tech leadership role, but then i'd have to work harder.  That's not fair to Flair.

Experienced senior technology leaders have zero trouble finding a job or getting a work permit up here. We are desperately short of people in all sorts of industries.

This is me, I'm somehow an Assistant Vice President of IT. I don't know what happened.... If there's legitimate opportunity, I'd be interested.

Cherry Hill? Maybe a real NJian can confirm if this place is good or sucks.

Yep, this is the general area we're looking.

We're connected on LI hence my comment about senior technology leaders. If you're serious hit me up on there and I can connect with you some people.

Is that a general rule? I'm actually looking at a house in Camden County?

I would absolutely consider it. I'm not sure all the rules & regulations. I have this terribly family that has to follow me everywhere....

Unless you have a string of convictions for being a wrong 'un, or a DUI, getting a work permit for a US citizen to work in Canada in a skilled and/or senior role is a very simple paperwork exercise. Once you've interviewed and been offered, the company takes care of sponsoring it - if we had people available to do those roles in Canada then companies wouldn't bother, but a lot of Canadian IT staff head to the US for a variety of reasons. One of them is money, I think it's fairly well established that the wage ceiling is often much higher in the US but only you could make that decision based on your own circumstances.

As I said, happy to connect you with a couple of people to see if there's anything worth exploring. There's one guy in particular I know (although I haven't spoken to him in a couple of years) who specialises in executive placement at senior levels. He'd be my starting point.

Anyone familiar with Berlin? Strongly looking at a house here. Realtor says the school system is amazing (Voorhees? I love the name but want to make sure my kids aren't murdered at Crystal Lake or gunned down in class.)

I heard it was a dicey place to live back in the early 40s.

That's OK, I'm a white Christian, I should be fine.

Sounds like neither the developer nor the owner did anything wrong, and they should both be suing the broker.
