I can't get over how big NHL goalies have become. It's only a decade or so ago that Ben Bishop was considered a freak, but if you look at the top goalies they're pretty much all huge - Vasileskiy (6'3"), Hellebuyck (6'4"), Oettinger (6'5"), Ullmark (6'4"), the list goes on. Only Saros (5'11") and Shesterkin (6'1") amongst the top guys are really what we'd consider the traditional size for goalies.

I was at the Sens game on Monday night and they gave a debut to a young guy called Mads Sogaard who is 6'7", it was almost comical watching a guy who's probably close to 6'10" in skates minding a net that looked like it barely came to his waist. Then last night we had another young debutant (we have an injury crisis) in Kevin Mandolese, he's comparatively little at just 6'4".

It feels like there will come a point where chasing monsters will be detrimental and we'll start looking for the smaller, more agile guys again.

Don't take my word for it...  "Linus Ullmark, the odds on favorite for the Vezina!"

While Connor Hallebuyck sat on his fatass, his struggling Winnie-the-Peg Jet teammates and backup goalie Mike Riitttch were getting bageled 4-0 at home vs. the Islanders.....meanwhile Bruins goalie---"Linus Ullmark, the odds on favorite for the Vezina!"----outscored the Jets yesterday all by himself:

Mad?  The Winnipeg Jets?
Yes, I’m National Suicide Prevention Hotline mad.

Swept?  They played what, two games this year?

Hail the noble nondescripts!  Hail the Winnipeg Jets! :-)

Yes..thats how a season series works between an Eastern conf and western conf team. We play in your rink (where we beat you) and you play in ours (where we also, you guessed it, beat you).

Come back when your team is on our level.

You’re very funny, very clever and very esteemed here and rightly so…but this excrement’s gone on long enough..

- Joe Burrow currently owns a .750 winning pct. vs. Patrick Mahomes.

- The New York Rangers currently own an 33-24-1-11 winning record vs. the Winnipeg Jets.

I like Joe Burrow but will take Patrick Mahomes over him every day.

I don’t dislike the Winnipeg Jets (I don’t even know them—hell, who does?)—but even if I knew who they were I will take the Broadway Blueshirts over them every day.

Our team will never be on your team’s level’

Like hell you do ya young punk.  The Bruins have a losing record this season vs. Ottawa yet at the same time the Bruins are flirting with the NHL all-time wins & points record.  The Sens ‘present’ dominance over the Bruins is an outlier, punk.

Presently,  the Winnipeg Jets are an absolute mess.

Presently, they’ve lost of five of their last six; the team is in shambles.

On February 16 Winnipeg was one victory behind the Dallas Stars for first place in the Western Conference. Fast forward to the present: the Winnipeg Jets have completely fallen out of the Central’s top three and and are presently battling for a place in the Wild Card.

Presently?  Just last night on home ice the Winnipeg Jets blew a 3rd period 5-3 lead and lost 6-5 to the LA Kings.  Kings old timer Anze Kopitar repeatedly abused Veniza pretender Connor Hellebuyck to the tune of 4 goals all by his lonesome.  Just the other night the Rangers held a third period 5-2 lead over those same LA Kings.  Final score: 5-2.

Just last night Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark faced FIFTY SEVEN shots on goal and still won.

Still think Winnipeg’s Hellebuyck should win the Vezina and that “it shouldn’t even be close”  punk?
