I'm old enough to remember you being upset about hiring Boner.

I still am, because he's only a shade better than Maurice.  But then i calmed down because he's not here long term, and his systems are clearly better than what they were using for the last 3 seasons

Also...having a vezina calibre goaltender helps mask alot of deficiencies.

NYR had player’s fathers at the game in Detroit tonight.  Down 2-1 the Rangers ended up winning 8-2

What voter suppression?

Of course he didn't.  Seisexiro's double standard virtue signaling was put out there prima facia.

'Murcia...love it or leave it.  Nice mindset.  Embracing all equality standards and full equal rights is not enough?  You now must wear someone's 'flag'?  Btw, no Russians = watered down nhl.  Lastly, it involved "the warmups" and hockey warmups are the least impactful or interesting of the major sports as it pertains to viewer interest, i.e. no batting practice (HRs) as in baseball, no shooting/dunks as in basketball, no specialists/QBs 'airing it out' as in football.  In fact, with 25 skaters circling around who'd notice "only 24"?   This is a big who gives a excrement that only the media ran with.  "You have the right to your opinion" meets "or else!"

"Going too far" should be the last thing - that it would even exist to begin with should give pause.

I feel like you're taking my using any excuse available to call Ovie a queynte a bit too seriously. How about "kick all Russians except Artem Zub out of the league", does that make it better? I'll even settle for just sending Ovie and Malkin back. The rest can stay although Provorov's on thin ice.

Apparently I did (re: Ovie) whom I have no love for either - creep's a chippy queynte so mea culpa on that count.  That said I disagree as to why Provorov should be on thin ice.  The guy did NOT deny anybody their civil rights nor pejoratively denigrate any persons and/or group.  He simply cited 'religious' reasons (I also understand just the word 'religion' alone is a #trigger to some-lol).  My comments were strictly freedom of speech/expression driven, period.

A guy, a gal, a them/they want to flash their package in a display of pride, great.   And at the same time people have the right to say "hey,  nice dick!...but no thanks."

So Provorov stayed in the locker room?  ...and?......anyway, reminds me of this old one:

Q: What's the one thing you prolly don't want to hear in a locker room?

A: niiice dick!

No one's asking him to suck a dick, just to show solidarity with and support for those who are oppressed for doing so. He can freak off citing Christianity as a reason not to, my Dad is an Anglican priest and he would have some words for Provorov about Jesus's teachings on tolerance, acceptance and persecution.

I can only imagine the whining from the people currently cheering for Provorov if a Muslim player took a similar stance.

I'm sorry JE but I find that unreasonable in that you want it both ways.  You deny him his right to choose while invalidating his value system in the same breath.  As for your Anglican priest father's sense of tolerance, I would also think that dear ol' dad would acknowledge that 'tolerance' is a give and take, two-way street.  Me, I'd have donned a "Gay Is OK!" jersey for the pre-game skate and maybe even gussied-up my CCM Super Tacks in rainbow hues but that's not the point.  The point is that while I disagree with Provorov's tact I also accept the notion of to each his own.

As for the Muslim assumption (in all its prickly, self-serving cynicism *wink*), I don't have to remind you as to where homosexuality's harshly punishable and in some 'certain circles' unconscionably, by death...imagine.  Agree to disagree. We're on the same page for the most part.  I'm simply more tolerant you closet totalitarian-lol.

As I type this, the Eagles have jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead en route to hopefully a one-sided rout.  To that end all praise to Allah.

Jesus didn't teach us to love all men equally as long as they conformed to a particular set of rules that he didn't actually lay down about who you can screw. I'm not a religious man but for obvious reasons I have more than a passing familiarity with Christian doctrine and a good degree of positive feeling towards much of it, and using Christianity to justify excrement that flies directly in the face of its core tenets is not something that any actual Christian should have any time for.

Tolerance does not translate to "hey, if people want to persecute others for excrement that isn't any of my business I'm happy to tolerate it". Jesus was not a passive man and would waste no time in throwing these modern day Pharisees the freak out of his church, literally and metaphorically. Don't make me start quoting scripture.
