Why is Dean dropping?

Size. Dude is only Jonathan Vilma sized.

I sure as excrement hope 4 more teams decide that’s why they can’t take him
Need a new one for a new board...

I’d feel a lot better about our chances there if we had 69 instead of 101

5'11" linebackers with injury concerns aren't overly valued in the NFL. But the tape is so good.

I know everyone is high on the safeties in round 2, but is it really that big of a need? I'd think LB and DT is a bigger need.

It is.  Pitre makes the most sense because we like to put three safeties out there.  He's the most versatile and he has a ridiculous football IQ.

i just wish his name wasn't pee-tree

EDIT: on second thought, could make for good headlines. 'jalen peed all over the opposing WRs route trees'

Jordan Whitehead is good, but LaMarcus Joyner is hard to trust after an injury. Ashtyn Davis hasn't done all that much in his career to look like an answer, though I know Heisenberg likes him more than most.

We don't necessarily need to add a safety in Round 2, but it is a need. I'd like to push Davis and Joyner into a role competing for the 3rd safety spot with Whitehead, or at least have someone to compete with them.

In the presser last night it sounded like JD was talking up the safeties already on the roster but who knows what he's really thinking.

Was this the most trades in round 1 ever? Including picks traded before yesterday.

By my count, a total of 27 2022 first round picks were traded by the end of last night.
