Exactly. That's why I default to the FO. If we take Ekwonu, that says something about how the staff looks at Becton. And since Douglas is the guy who drafted Becton, it ultimately looks bad on JD if we give up on Becton.

I don’t agree with any of the premise here (that it’s time to give up on Becton) BUT I want to highlight the last thing you said “it looks bad if we give up on Becton”

Sure a miss is bad. But doubling down on a guy that you know “isn’t the answer” just to avoid “looking bad” will only make you look worse. If there is a problem, correct it. That’s what good GMs do.

I don’t think it’s time to make the determination Becton can’t be the guy. But if Jd and Saleh both are and truly don’t think he can get it right, moving on is the best course of action. I won’t agree with it in the slightest this early. But if he actually is a lost cause, then it’s the prudent course of action
Need a new one for a new board...

I think I'm really just at the point that I want Thibodeaux at 4 and anything else other than a trade down would be fine but not overly exciting to me.

Walker worries me that he's just the next Williams/Wilkerson/Richardson/etc compared to a superstar. Granted, if he is consistently peak those guys, I would be fine with that, but I'm scarred of how many DL we've had that looked like they were going to become stars, and plateaued at just very good.

Jermaine Johnson is good, but I don't know if he's a top-5 pick.

I think Sauce Gardner is good enough to be a top-5 pick. He's really grown on me throughout the process. But I don't want a cornerback at 4. A healthy Stingley can be a star as well, but he hasn't played enough to be worth a top-5 pick for me.

I love Ekwonu, but that likely means we're giving up on Becton. I like Evan Neal, too, but the same applies. And if we're not giving up on Becton, that means we're converting one of our better players to depth, which is not great when you don't have many top players.

I was hoping Kyle Hamilton would emerge as a can't-miss safety, and I like him, but he shouldn't be an option at 4.

I think same.

KT is my #1 hope, but I'm okay with TWalker, Sauce, Ekwonu. Anyone other than those 4 and I'll be confused. I still believe if Thibs is available he's the dude.

At 10 I'm very flexible, depending on the pick at 4. I don't see Joe making me uneasy with that one, even if/especially if he trades down. Any WR is fine, any Edge is fine if we took Ekwonu/Sauce at 4.  Of course the WR talk is moot once we trade for DK in next few days, amirite! #eastermiracle

BEST CASE SCENARIO
- Thibodeaux or Hutchinson
- Trade down

HAPPY
- Travon Walker

I'LL DEAL WITH IT
- Ekwonu

DON'T LOVE IT, BUT I'LL DEAL WITH IT
- Neal, Cross, Gardner, Stingley, Jermaine Johnson

DO NOT WANT
- Anyone else

Most options at 10, I'm cool with.
