As of now, Steve Cohen's luxury-tax bill of roughly $80 million is more than the projected '23 payrolls of six teams (A's, PIrates, Orioles, Reds, Rays and Royals).

Bassitt to the Blue Jays for 3 yrs, $63M. That could be tremendous value if he figures out how to adjust to the pitch clock.

This is why i hate useless tournaments like the WBC or World Cup of Hockey....unnecessary injuries derailing seasons.
