It’s at 143, we will almost certainly have to trade up for Gainwell. Perhaps we could jump up 10-15 slots for our 6th to snag him, but I’d imagine we need to be higher, possibly 120 or so.

But that would be a hell of a 4th if we stole Jabril Cox and Gainwell

Just to further my point about Jabril Cox.  The Patriots spent money on Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry.  It would be nice to neutralize those donkeys with a coverage LB that can keep up with TEs.

I just prefer his game based on what I've seen. Gainwell has more red flags for me. I'm fine with Gainwell, too.

FTR...Michael Carter is no slouch either.  I'm fine with either of them.

Cox is a good player, but he's not manning up Jonnu Smith or Hunter Henry.  He's a solid zone coverage player*.

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting him, but I'd prefer someone like Hamsah Nasirildeen if we're going for an athletic Will type linebacker.

Carter is fine, but if we're going to take an undersized third down type back, then Gainwell has less tread and he's a better receiver.

If I had to choose any back that's still on the board, it would be Kylin Hill.
