Haha.  I'm sure they contributed to him being a deadbeat, but some people have to learn the hard way.  He may need to be homeless for a while to get the point.  He still may not.  I feel bad for those parents having such an outwardly dickish kid that won't move out.  Maybe it's their fault he's that way, who knows.

I can't say I disagree, but what should they do at this point?

I'm not going to pass too much judgment and I shouldn't have said what I already said without knowing all details.  There's probably a lot left out on both sides.

This story sure is presenting him as an adult child who is doing nothing but mooch off his parents with no effort to try to help himself at all.  Apparently he lost his job 8 years ago, moved back home and does nothing to help his parents out.

I can't say I'd handle it this way being presented the same circumstances, but everyone has a breaking point.
