As a millennial I’ve been basically fucked most of the way through adulthood
I graduated high school in the mid 2000s when everyone was pushed to go to college regardless of their intelligence. Student loans were enormous for all but all is good because a degree will make up for it.
Fast forward a few years and you have a bunch of college graduates working in fields that have little to do with their degrees making freak all as a salary while owing hundreds of thousands of dollars for schooling. Also, this was right in the middle of a recession.
Fast forward a few more years and people of my era have been grinding to make their way in this world ready to start a family and buy houses. Unfortunately, a decent house in a nice city/suburb will cost you 300k+. Majority of people have little to no savings, and are likely buying on FHA loans or with borrowed money.
Here comes Coronavirus and an impending depression. Next steps? To be seen
