TBF I think it was a conscious effort to force him the ball to pad his stats for OROY. Flacco's been around long enough to do that.
I think it was mostly a "We are starting Mike Remmers, Cedric Ogbuehi, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Dan Feeney - get the ball to your best receiver before you get killed."
We literally started 3 offensive linemen that weren't on NFL rosters 3 months ago (and Dan Feeney).
