I wonder which schmuck isn't gonna vote for Peyton to get his 15 minutes?

Convincing the Jets to hire Adam Gase should force him to wait for the second ballot.

Sucks to see Brick already off the list of finalists after a year.
Need a new one for a new board...

I realise that most people disagree with this, but I'm not putting Megatron in. Incredibly talented, put up a couple of insane seasons, but achieved absolutely nothing. Took a shitload of money to fail at the Lions instead of pursuing the greatness his abilities could have delivered. In the end, he's a footnote in NFL history.

IIRC that's more of a baseball thing isn't it? I feel like the Canton voters don't do that.

I'm not sure where he finished statistically speaking, but in my head he was on the Barry Sanders track. Exceptional player waiting forever for the Lions to get it right around him, and never did. There are two ways to look at the "took their money" concept. He could have left in pursuit of rings, or he could have stayed 'loyal' and tried to help them build. He stayed and they didn't build so he said F-This I quit and walked away.

I fully expect him to get in, but probably not in year 1 though.

freak this guy.

The guy had the best season of all time as a wideout

Sure he retired early

But I think his opinion is completely reasonable

This is incorrect.

He has the record for most receiving yards in a season, but it is not the best season of all time for a wideout.

I can't remember Jerry's best years so I think I'd have to say Moss '07.

Good for Faneca.

I'm surprised Drew Pearson wasn't already in a long time ago.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.
