Is this the best day ever?

Haha seriously! I'm trying to soak in the optimism and positive vibes.

My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Hopefully this frees Cashman up to finally start making some moves. It’s January 17th 2021 and they’ve only signed 2 guys.

“Perhaps the team liked enough of what they saw in his showcase and had some additional insight from Cressey, who helped Kluber’s rehab this offseason.”

The ties to Kluber are there with Matt Blake (Yankees Pitching Coach, former CLE pitching dev coach) and Eric Cressey (Yankees Director of Health and Performance, Kluber’s trainer). The Yankees likely have more insight into his shoulder rehab than any other team in the league through Cressey.

I really want to sign Tanaka now. (I mean, really, I'd want to sign Bauer, but I just don't think it's going to happen).

Cole, Severino, Klubot, Tanaka in October?

I'm really hoping the data plays out re: Cressey and that last year was the transition spike they've talked about.

Coming off his 2nd TJ surgery. Take a look at his 2018 season.

Hoping he will fit the mold of hugely talented arms that Pitt did a poor job of developing while they were there in Gerrit Cole and Tyler Glasnow

The cost makes bringing in a guy like Taillon worth it, but I hate the fact that payroll limitations are going to cause Tanaka to walk, especially given the makeup of the rotation.

Tons of medical red flags. Cash is at least mitigating the risk as much as possible given the depth.

This team needs a righty out of the pen in the worst way.

As long as he stays healthy, and I just saw he supposedly made a delivery change as part of his rehab, this will likely be a good trade.

But I'm really concerned with all the health question marks throughout the rotation. This could potentially be a top-tier rotation, but Cressey had better be elite at his job.
