I saw a law blog linked elsewhere the other day that laid out the rationale for a 13 member SCOTUS, basically saying that the number of circuits (or appeals courts maybe? I am an ignoramus when it comes to such things) has expanded to 13 but SCOTUS hasn't followed suit. I have no idea whether it makes sense or not.

I wish. We'll just get a bipartisan committee to recommend minor changes, then maybe they'll try to implement them and it'll get shut down by the Senate, and Biden will say "sorry we tried nothing we could do".
