Becton got beat like a drum there
that would be because Addison had a head start

On the sack play.  DE stunted and he bought it

Costello seems to be the only one saying Dowell is calling plays.

If it was a thing, I’d assume the announcers would say something

Good drive.

As long as Darnold is playing, it's actually fun to watch. As much as I want the #1 pick and Lawrence, it's a better solution if Darnold turns into the star we think he can. He needs to show it on the field. And I think he has a chance to do it. He has a lot stacked against him, but a 3rd-year Darnold should still rise above and show more than just occasional flashes.

Honestly, give me a bunch of 42-35 losses the rest of the year, where we have to face the excruciating position of trading Darnold, who looks like a rising star despite the 1-15 record, or passing up the chance at a generational QB in Lawrence.

First drive was largely running game, but Sam made a few plays. Hope he keeps making plays.

Hughes- Adam Gase now has the challenge flag with Dowell calling plays. Also, with defense on field, Gase is patrolling sideline. Loggains on the side with Darnold going over plays

I'm afraid if Sam does really well, gase will stick around and geg will be the sacrifice in the off-season

Thats unacceptable

If we go 1-15 like we do in my scenario, Gase is gone.

Now if they go like 5-11 and get some big wins down the stretch, and Darnold is looking like a rising star, then I could see them wanting to keep that continuity. However, I legitimately think it is harder to sell season tickets with Gase as the coach compared to someone new, and that breaks all ties.

Interesting that our defense looked bad, still got a stop and then their kicker misses by a mile. I thought it was odd when they drafted Bass to be a not super strong legged kicker to kick in Buffalo.

The Darnold on/off splits always look so good for Darnold, but Bryce Petty and Luke Falk are two of the worst quarterbacks of all-time.

This is why we all want Gase fired as soon as possible. The longer he’s he the greater the chance he somehow survives the season

OC Dowell Loggains is indeed calling plays, as @BrianCoz noted. Gase had been considering relinquishing play calling in recent weeks. Now he has. #Jets
