Absolutely a necessary move both to clear up cap space and to get two guys with NMC's off the protection list so they can keep Dumba (remember, last time they had to trade away Alex Tuch for pennies on the dollar in order to ensure Dumba wouldn't be selected in an expansion draft), as well as giving them cap flexibility this offseason.

That dead money is going to suck in 2022-23, 23-24 and 24-25, plus as a bitter Devils fan, Zach can eat excrement.

Yup, the home and home and home and home was boring.  That said, I noticed this snippet at the end of the link you posted:

Normally I'd be quick to sneer "attention: Tom Wilson" but at the same time I also think 'allowable crosschecking' is unfortunately disappearing, namely defensemen being able to clear people from in front of the goal.  Too much basket-hanging down low allowed today...can't always rely on the goalie to chop ankles.  : )
