Also hearing that #Jets DC Dennis Thurman and DL coach Karl Dunbar are re-signing, if they haven't already. Dunbar a key for young DL.

I'm neutral on Thurman, to be honest. I think Dunbar is a necessity, though. Glad he's back.

Manish Mehta ‏@MMehtaNYDN now
Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman has told friends that he'll be back with Jets in 2014. Thurman had expiring contract. #nyj

I hope Thurman comes back in a lesser role.

I'd like to see the Sea DB coach get hired in some capacity

Per Cimini:

The Jets still have at least two assistants with expiring contracts -- offensive line coach Mike Devlin and wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal. The expectation is they're likely to return.

Get rid of Devlin, man

Granted Lal has worked with mostly excrement, I still have not been impressed with the development of players under him. Id prefer to look elsewhere at both WR and TE positional coaches.

Its funny how a week ago we heard that there might be some shakeup in the assistant coaches, yet now even the coaches at the positions that have struggled immensely look to be on their way back.

Id really like to have Thurman demoted somewhat and the Seattle DB coach signed as DC.

I think we need new OL and TE coaches.

How Devlin would be brought back as OL coach after the excrement performance across the line a year ago is beyond me.
Need a new one for a new board...

I would like this as well, although I remember being excited about the DB coach we brought in a year ago.

The only two guys I really hold him "responsible" for are Kerley and Hill, so obviously it's a mixed bag. Holmes is a finished product, and pretty much everyone else has been a JAG that I wouldn't expect anything from. Nelson was a nice pickup but I'd call him a finished product too.
