Decision 2020: Friars Club Keeper Rules
« on: July 26, 2020, 02:53:27 PM »
Now's the time to decide what you want to have happen to the keeper rules moving forward. I'm going to keep this poll open for two weeks. Whichever option receives the most votes will be what we go with. If you have any ideas/opinions, please state them below.

I'm pretty much for any of them other than "Eliminate effective immediately."

I'm cool with anything other than an immediate change.

Reducing the number of keepers is the best compromise, I think.

I could probably get on board with 1 keeper per team and getting rid of "franchise" players.  I really do hate keeper leagues....but i'm willing to compromise.

I voted for that but I'm open to a reduced number of keepers for 2020 and no keepers 2021

It seems pretty clear that there are more people in favor of keeping/altering the rules than there are in eliminating them.

Here's my proposal: we keep the current rules in effect for this season with the understanding that next season the number of players that can be kept will be reduced to two and the franchise tag will be eliminated. We'll then have the option to reduce the number of keepers per team to one for the following season.

If we want to reduce the number of keepers to one for next season, I'm cool with that too. As others have stated, I don't think it's fair to make an immediate change for this season.

It's also BS to suggest that keepers give anyone an unfair advantage as we've all been playing under the same rules for the last 8 years. If you have excrement keepers, you can chalk that up to luck or skill but not to the rules being unfair.
