Stank is an underrated insult.

My point guard my first year coaching basketball was nicknamed Stank.

When asked why that was his nickname:  "because when I was a baby my diapers was stank"

Imagine me, a young white guy, screaming "Stank" in an half-empty urban gym.  Good times.

"STANK!  DIAMOND PRESS!  STANK!"
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

But that's not unusual for black neighborhood polling places even under non-pandemic circumstances.

True. Election day should be a national holiday.

Yup. Let’s not forget the way Bernie was thrown under the bus in 2016 for a candidate many people didn’t want. Hillary Clinton ran an all time awful campaign and assumed the W. You can give Nate Silver, CNN, NYT, etc. the assist by touting the polls that said Hillary had a 92% chance to win the election. Also Hillary won the popular vote so I’m not sure you can pin this on voters not showing up.

Just for the record, Nate Silver never forecasted above 90% for Hillary, and was down to something like 65% right before election day. They had been writing for a while that it would be a close election, and while not quite a coin-toss, only had Hillary leading by 2-3% in nationwide polling (she won the popular vote by something like 2.5% iirc) and said the polling was even closer in a lot of swing states. I remember reading 538 and thinking it was going to be a close election, and then clicking to other news networks and felt like I was going crazy.

But that will make it harder to put roadblocks in the way of voting, won't it?
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

I just checked the talking points handbook, and it turns out making it easier for people to vote is communism.

And if anyone has ever played poker, having a 65% chance to win anything isnt a lock.

It's really unfathomable to me, I've never spent more than about 30 min at the polls and that was for the 2016 general in the evening so it was expectedly crowded. Any other time I've voted since then I was out in under 7-10 minutes.

I just mailed my absentee ballot for NY's 6/23 primary so zero minutes for that one. But I don't hold the voters responsible for not getting it in earlier, it's unreasonable for them to have to endure that excrement to vote in person on election day.
My local polling place had over a 2 hour wait for the primary. I said freak it and went back a few hours later. Same line.

They told people there was less of a wait at a place 1.5 miles down the road. I took a scooter there because I didnt feel like waiting. But it is insane to me that they disnt have a better system. And this is pre-covid.

Now, they HAVE to let people vote by mail. There is no good reason not to. But the Republicans will make excrement up as usual.

I don't see how the dems can lose with this kind of strong messaging:

I’m forced to assume that he’s the majority whip because he is a powerful energy vampire a la Colin Robinson.
