They had four high snaps before that decision.  Napier went for the win on third down by throwing it and it was incomplete. 

It was genius coaching to take the safety there and he put faith in his defense.

People taking that play out of context will kill him for it.  Their long snapper was useless and it was pouring rain. 

My question is why not just punt it rather than take the safety? FG no longer hurts you and it’s not like there was a small amount of time left. But it worked so all is well

If he did that again, there's a chance for a scoop in score or recovery 20 yards or closer to the end zone.

That game was hilarious. I didn't hate the idea of taking the safety over punting, but they only needed 2 yards - why not just go for it?

Dude had a chance to eat sushi off a nude model on television and is being made to apologize by his university? Ain't no way in hell that dude regrets his life choice. I also assume he banged the model after. So the resultant did or didn't bang probably affects his level of regret in the decision far more than anything else.
