Sure it’s possible. But do they have any money left?

As much as I’d like Ryan, I would pay Warford first

We have plenty of cash left and we're freeing up even more on June 1.

If we wanted to sign Warford (or rather, if Warford wanted to sign with the Jets), we could just release Brian Winters and use that money.

---

We are not very good at corner, but we have a lot of strong pieces.  I think what people seem to be overlooking with a potential Logan Ryan signing is the fact that we're likely going to play a ton of zone again, and Ryan thrives in that kind of environment.

PFF wants to use completions against him, but if he's primarily playing zone in the nickel, he's going to give up completions...it's his job to limit the after catch production, which he does very well.  Very few of his catches allowed went for first downs.

Bless Austin is also a very willing tackler in Cover 2.  Bryce Hall is a better fit in a zone scheme.  We drafted a single high, deep safety.  Heavy zone play calling.

Ryan unquestionably makes us better. I actually think we have the money to sign Ryan and Warford, once we cut Winters. I was referring to the Giants financially being a competitor for Logan Ryan.

Our CB room has tons of potentially quality pieces, but nearly no proven commodities in it. We are a better team with Ryan than without, that goes without question. I just think if it was an 'either/or' situation, we are better with Warford than Ryan.

Need a new one for a new board...

Cut Desir for #capspace so we have enough money to sign Ryan
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

What if we cut the capspace itself?  Does that free up cap space or use it?

What if Joe Douglas divided the cap space by zero

I'm only going to say this one time, but what if the cap space is on this ferris wheel?

I think we'll see a bunch of signings throughout the league next week when all the June 1 cap money hits

We're supposedly still interested in this guy.  Makes a lot more sense now that Adams is gone.

Seeing as how JD doesn’t seem to budge on price, I don’t think our offer to Ryan’s camp has changed any. Ball seems to be in his court, he can either take our offer or wait for a camp injury

Free agent DB Logan Ryan, one of the top players available, has hired powerful agent Joel Segal as his new representation and is poised to do a deal, sources say. Ryan’s previous agents waived the five-day waiting period, and Ryan’s move is official.

Ravens prolly.

All kidding aside, he still makes a lot of sense with the Jets as a multifunctional chess piece in the secondary.  Gegggg doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that likes to set up shop in one scheme and run it all day.  Logan Ryan could be a safety or CB.

If we weren't willing to bring him in at "his price" before, I doubt he fired his agents to allow him to sign a deal that we offered however long ago
