Not what I said.

I said I dont like the idea of not bringing Kotwica back. The guy learned under Westy and I wouldve liked to see him at least get another year. The roster was horrible the year before and special teams struggled under Westhoff who is a great coach, so id like to see our new GM get at least another year to improve ST for him.

But I dont give a crap about Kotwica enough to complain about letting him go, especially if we improve.

who gives three fucks who kotwica learned from. I learned how to play hockey from people that played many years in the NHL, where did that get me? Charlie Weiss, Eric Mangini and Romeo Crennel learned from BB, or Norval Turner and that pie faced freak Dave Wannestadt learned from Jimmy Johnson and none of them are worth a excrement.

Special teams on the Jets wouldn't have performed well in the Special Olympics. Go ahead blame the roster blame lack of talent, funny thing is almost every phase got better on the Jets by year end, want to venture a guess which one didn't?

If you don't have a dog in the fight as you say shut the freak up.

Apparently the Jets did make an offer to him and he chose to go.  With a new hc in dc, he'd have more job security whereas if Rex gets canned next year, he does too probably.  Plus it might have been more $$

Not losing sleep over this, decent personnel makes special team coaching easy and we can't be any worse than we were last year- can't even think of one decent run back or block by us last season.

That's one.

Our coverage was bad and returns were non existent. Can't put it all on the coaching though, we barely had NFL talent on offense let alone special teams.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

Yeah you can, you don't need skill position players to be decent on special teams. Special teams can certainly be coached up. You see any evidence of that this year? Special teams coaches should inherently be used to using back of the roster players. Every phase of the Jets special teams was weak save for Field goal kicking, good riddance to the guy.

His son already works for the Jets.

His dad would be a great hire. He hasn't resigned with the Raiders and there might be something here fella's. I like this, he would be a huge upgrade over Kotwica.

You still need guys to make the plays. I agree in most cases scheme makes a big difference on specials, like the kickoff return team we had under Westhoff where any number of fast guys could take one to the house. But it's kind of a trickle down effect, if you have inferior players on your main units your specials are going to suffer a little, too.

That said, I won't miss Kotwica, could never pronounce it.

Postscript to Ben Kotwica departure: He was offered a two-year deal by #Jets, per source. Redskins offer must have been significant.

Sounds like losing him was less than ideal
