It's like drafting Kyle Wilson when you have Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie.

I thought about that after my post. I think putting Wilson inside fucked with his head and limited his development.

In retrospect I was excited about it at the time, but it was a stupid decision to think we needed to add another corner with a premium pick

With the way the board fell in round one, I think we should heavily consider EDGE or CB at 48.

Yetur Gross-Matos and Kristian Fulton are the best players available.

Not sure they'll get to 48 but if either does, Douglas shouldn't hesitate.  Take your receivers in Round 3.

I bet they both go in the first 7 slots or so.

If I had to bet, I’d guess an OL will be BPA when we hit the clock again. Does JD opt to finish off the OL? Or does he still go get a WR? Can he trade down to get more picks while adding to the roster effectively?

It appears trades will be very hard to come by in this class. It appears teams weren’t as enamored with top picks and/or were unwilling to part with their selections as easily because they felt it necessary to keep a quantity of picks since they didn’t get to know this class quite as well as previous years. They may have less convictions about players and be less aggressive in going to get “their guys”

It won't happen, but my top overall player is Marlon Davidson.

Why won't it happen?

Edit: If Duff was here it would

1.  He'll likely be off the board.

2.  If he's there, I don't think Douglas will take a hybrid front player like him this early with the amount of needs we have at other positions.

Maccagnan would've traded up for Jordan Love

Thankfully we may have a GM that knows what he's doing.

I've always thought that at least 2 of our first 3 and 3 of our first 5 picks need to be offense. I'm not upset if we go edge rusher tomorrow, as long as we use at least 2 of the next 3 picks on offense.

We need to take a pass rusher or a corner with one of the three picks tomorrow.

Interested to see if we have more trades tomorrow with the GMs working overnight to get things put into place now that the draft board is shaping up.

It'd be cool to see Douglas move around some in these rounds.

He sucked if a player didn't fall to him.

He sucked when they did.

Rather than continuing to pee on the dead horse we’ve beaten repeatedly can we just take a second to have some faith in the guy doing the job now?

Gettleman had a chance to pick Becton and passed for a guy that’s a “safer” play but much less likely to be great.

Douglas could have had a similar player in Wirfs, who seems in a worst case world to have a future as a sensational OG. Douglas didn’t do that, he swung for the fences with Becton. A guy who has Hall of Fame potential. That’s a real GM making decisions.
