Also curious if we are reverting to more of a 4-3 with all of these lbs and so few pass rushers

We only have one actual defensive end on the roster:  Tarell Basham

Jordan Jenkins is a true 3-4 OLB and Kyle Phillips is more of an interior player in the 4-3.

I'm wondering if Gregg is gonna try to run a Wide 9 front with a big defensive line and try to get pressure up the interior and by blitzing backers.

I'd really like to see the details on this and the Van Roten signing.

We have the personnel to run the 4-3 Over (Wide 9), especially if we keep Avery Williamson.

Onwuasor is a true WILL backer that can cover a ton of ground.  If Quinnen Williams and whoever our defensive end is (probably Kyle Phillips) can keep him clean, we'd be set up well to run that defense as our base.

I'm going to punch everyone in the face if we cut Avery and it turns out the he was the healthy one between him and Mosely.
This is how I've felt since the first time people started saying we should cut Avery.

I gained a lot of respect with Averys social media posts in uniform watching us in random places. He always gave me the vibe that he wanted more than anything to be out there with the squad.

Not a big fan of giving players thank you contracts and such but I don’t want to cut him to the curb

I think at the very least he deserves the chance to stay another year to prove he can stay on the field and deliver.

Again, we're spending $26M on two middle linebackers who gave us a combined total of 2 starts last year. I would give up either one in a heartbeat if there was an offer because it's by some distance the most any team is spending on the position. If someone wants to give us a draft pick, any pick, for either I'd take it and run.

At this point we can just hope for Avery Williamson to play at a high level and get us a 3rd or 4th round comp pick if we're lucky when he's gone after this year. For that alone I think he "could" be worth holding onto

That's a pretty cheap deal.

I don't want the Jets to cut Avery, keep him. There's no one to sign on the offensive line, have a kick derriere ILB unit.

My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about
