The two main things I don't like about Mims:

He's two years old than all of the other top receivers and he can only play outside

But he's a really good player and I wouldn't be upset if we drafted him.

I love Mims as a player. Him being older I think is going to be used against him as a "tie breaker" in some of these WR battles teams are having internally. It's one of the only reasons I think he might make it to 48.

As for only being an Outside guy, lucky for us, that is exactly what we need. But again it's another reason a team may opt for Reagor, Ayiuk, Shenault over Mims.

If we trade back from 11, and the big 3 are gone, I hope we are able to tab Jefferson as I think he's going to be special as well. But Mims has the athleticism to have potentially the highest ceiling in the draft. Now him reaching his absolute maximum potential is not as good as guys like Jeudy, Lamb and Ruggs, but if he were to, his ceiling is really freaking high. I think he's the best possible target for us at 48.

The more I see mocks play out, the more I feel like the value for our needs isn't there. I really really do not think we will pick at 48. There is value a few picks above us, and about 10 picks below. So in my eyes the pick we are least likely to stick and pick this year is at 48.

He's a good one too, but closer to that third tier (with Pittman Jr. and DPJ).

I really think we should go Wideout here for 3 reasons:

1) we grabbed a 10-15 yr LT in the first round
2) FA was all about the OL
3) You said it yourself, there's some sneaky OL that should be available in the latter rounds

Sam needs some quality weapons.

I sort of disagree here, because there's some sneaky good guards/centers that should be available in the middle rounds.

Looking at the players Douglas has signed, I think he's going to try to find offensive linemen in those rounds and as UDFAs.

I don't care how we do it, but I want an OT and an interior guy as long term starters out of this class. Given the value, I would do it here.

But I think part of it is I don't really like Hamler, Shenault or Reagor for us, and prefer later options for us more, Pittman, Edwards, DPJ are all guys I would get excited about in the 3rd far more than any of the previous 3 in the 2nd

I voted for Jalen Reagor.  He is the best player available and the best receiver on the board.

Why not try to double dip?

Big play threat in Reagor and a possession guy in the third.

Do we have enough votes to move forward?

I'm gonna give it a little bit of time because it's really close.

I think it's

Reagor 5, Shenault 3, Hamler 0 and Jonah Jackson 1 (My vote).

So it is close. Make a pick by 10 am EST for sake of moving things forward.

And Heis I sent you a board last night for Chicago at 50, I am likely going to be in a work zoom call whenever I come up.

I'm submitting the pick so we can get this rolling.

Another close vote for NYJ's pick.

Hopefully we can get an oversized receiver in round 3 now

I think those that are iffy on Reagor (other than JE, who dislikes him for arguably the worst reason in the history of draft critiques) need to take into account how truly awful his QB play was at TCU in 2019.

When it was a little more steady in 2018, he was electric.
