Good receivers are available day 2; good tackles are not. I'd rather see Sam clean and having time to throw to a non-star receiver, than scrambling for his life to try and find time to hit the shiny big name player.

Trade for Trent and you can have your receiver IMO.

It comes down to this. If Thomas can be the next D'Brick, a 10 year starter at LT, he needs to be the pick, scheme be damned.

I'm just concerned that he can be that rock steady guy

Sorry I missed my pick earlier.

I haven't watched much Thomas, but gun to my head, I'll take Thomas over any WR. WR class is so deep.

So far, the voting is 6:4 in favor of Thomas.

Leaving the vote open for about ten more minutes here.

Looking like Andrew Thomas will be the pick.

good tackles are not.

Ezra Cleveland and Josh Jones are good tackles that could be available Day 2.

My concern is that Andrew Thomas is just a "good" tackle, to me more of a right tackle in the NFL.  Lamb, Ruggs, and Jeudy are potentially elite receivers.  But I do buy the argument that the wideout class is way deeper.

That's where I'm at. I'm not willing to pass on a potentially elite receiver in favor of an OL that may max out as a G or RT.

My opinion changed on Andrew Thomas being elite when I watched Marlon Davidson absolutely kick his derriere all over the field.

Maybe that just proves how good Davidson truly is, but I don't like watch tackles struggle with the bull rush.

Tristan Wirfs and Mekhi Becton don't get handled like that.  Wills doesn't either.

Ideally we'd be able to trade down in this scenario.

This wouldn't concern me at all, given I have very little expectation of Edoga ever amounting to anything and they're presumably expecting Fant to start at LT.
