There's a part of me that would like to imagine that the voices that would rise to most vocal prominence would be the best and brightest.

the unvaccinated would literally be begging for the vaccine if the government didn't make it freely and publicly available for all. if it wasn't as accessible, then this same group of covid hoax/anti-vaxxers would be going on and on about how the government is cynically holding something back from them just to prolong the pandemic. they'd literally be fighting and begging for the vaccine at that point.

i almost wish they went about it that way. it'd probably be the only way to get these dumbasses vaccinated.

It's am exaggerated point. But politics in this country has absolutely gotten to a point where the hate and contempt is at that level, and it goes both ways. There's absolutely people on the right who will take glee everytime something awful happens in Afghanistan so they can say look how bad Biden is (ie the recent drone strike) (and yes I made a post about that, but I'm also super obnoxious)

But it does go to say politics has turned thus world into a much more horrible disgusting place than it was before everyone was going to war for their team
