Or course they are. But considering the destruction brought on by this pandemic and how blatantly freaking clueless and incompoent all the world's governments were. I think it's a reasonable assumption that we're all better if these companies start working on boosters accounting for new variants way way in advance. Regardless of their motivations for doing so
I agree, but no one is saying it's wrong to work on them. The issue is when they start saying they are needed now. That may be true, but they need to work with the CDC on that, not just blab it out there with no consultation.
