I don’t like Bill Maher in the slightest. I also don’t agree with what he said here, clearly part of his schtick.

Now, I’ve seen a lot of Trump’s comments from Jan/Feb about how Coronavirus wasnt a big deal, no cases yet, etc. turned against him. Rightfully so. He downplayed the story in an attempt to preserve the economy and his chances at reelection.
You can find comments identical to Pelosi’s from deBlasio and AOC around the same timeframe. They will NEVER be called for it. This pandering is in direct response to Trump’s “xEnOphObIa” and they’re now among the people bitching that he botched the handling of this situation. (He did. So did they.) Maher is a shithead and I don’t agree with his point, but
