That's a safe mask. That's cool on Bauer if it's viable for the the medical personnel and first responders.
In all seriousness, I can see its value but I suspect in isolation it's not enough; it would stop splatter, but nothing aerosolized. That's why we're also equipping our doctors with sticks with which to beat anyone who looks like they might cough. Old style wooden one piece ones though, the composite ones break too easily if you miss the patient and hit the bed rails.
